Question 40: What beliefs have I taken for granted?

This question encourages us to reflect on the values and assumptions that we may not even be aware we hold. By examining the beliefs we accept without question, we can gain insight into how our views and behavior have been shaped by our experiences.

You may come to find that the beliefs you hold are based on assumptions that turn out to be incorrect. If you discover this to be true, consider exploring what led you to those beliefs in the first place and identify the root causes for why that belief became part of your worldview to begin with.

By asking ourselves this question, we can begin to identify and challenge the assumptions we hold and determine how they are influencing our lives. In doing so, we can make more conscious decisions about what we believe, how we act in accordance with those beliefs, and what values we want to prioritize.
